Greek Language Courses in London
Modern Greek is spoken today by between 14-17 million people, mainly in Greece and Cyprus but also by minorities and immigrant communities in many other countries. Greek is the official language of Greece where it is spoken by 99.5% of the population. It is also, alongside Turkish and English, the official language of Cyprus. Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in southeastern Europe. It is bordered by Albania, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria to the north, and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east and south of mainland Greece, whilst the Ionian Sea lies to the west. In both of theses eastern Mediterranean seas a vast number of Greek islands are located.
Greece has been a member of the European Union since 1981 and has used the Euro as its monetary currency since 2001. Athens is the capital city whilst Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, Volos and Larissa are some of the country's other major cities.
Greece has a capitalist economy that produced a GDP of $251.7 billion in 2006. Greece ranks 24th in the 2006 HDI (Human Development Index). The principal economic activities include the tourism and shipping industries, banking & finance, manufacturing, construction and telecommunications. Because of its strategic location, qualified workforce, political and economic stability, many multinational companies have their regional R&D Headquarters in Greece.

Evening Classes
We organise weekly Greek evening classes in central London for beginners. Beginners group classes cover general topics for those with no prior knowledge of the language such as: greetings and introductions, buying tickets, eating out, shopping, asking for personal information etc. The maximum number of students is 10 per class.
