Assessment

A personalised assessment and needs analysis is carried out for each student before the course begins to ensure that the training programme meets your particular requirements and level.

Time and Place

We understand the need for flexibility.

Tuition can take place at any time during the day or after work either at your London premises or at our language centre in Bloomsbury. We require only 24 hours’ notice to rearrange one-to-one or group classes taking place on a regular basis.

Course Content

According to your level and requirements our language training programmes can incorporate training in all four skills – Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

We focus on the practicalities, from having a friendly conversation or making a simple telephone call to negotiating or even making a speech at a conference, from writing a memo or letter to drafting a detailed report. Vocabulary and grammar are taught in context.

Cultural Awareness Training

In order to enable you to communicate more effectively we also provide background on the social, political and business issues and conventions in the country or countries of the target language. Emphasis is firmly on situations that you encounter in real life.

Materials

In addition to the carefully selected materials for the course, we can advise on supplementary self-study materials, such as CD-Rom software programmes with interactive exercises.

Reviews and reports

We provide you with regular reviews on your progress during your training programme and a written report on completion.

Formal Examinations and Qualifications

If you wish to validate your training through external examinations, we are experienced and well equipped to prepare you for examinations in various languages set by internationally recognised examination boards, such as

  • The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • The Institute of Linguists
  • The University of Cambridge Examinations Syndicate
  • National examinations, such as D.E.L.E for Spanish or D.A.L.F for French.

Entry for other examinations can also be arranged on request.
