Cantonese Language Courses in London
Cantonese, a member of the sino-tibetan family of languages, is one of the major languages of China and is spoken by 71 million people. Standard Cantonese is generally considered the prestige dialect of Cantonese Chinese. Standard Cantonese is the de facto official spoken language of Hong Kong and Macau, and the lingua franca of Guangdong province and some neighbouring areas. It is also spoken by immigrant communities in Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, United States, Australia, Europe and elsewhere.Like other major varieties of Chinese, Cantonese is often considered a dialect of a single Chinese language for cultural or nationalistic reasons, though in practice Cantonese, like many other Chinese language varieties, is mutually unintelligible with many other Chinese "dialects".
Historically, Cantonese was the most common form of Chinese spoken by overseas Chinese communities in the Western world, although that situation has now changed with the increasing importance of Mandarin in the Chinese-speaking world.

Evening Classes
We organise weekly Cantonese evening classes in central London for beginners. Beginners group classes cover general topics for those with no prior knowledge of the language such as: greetings and introductions, buying tickets, eating out, shopping, asking for personal information etc. The maximum number of students is 10 per class.
